Meet Our Team
Margery Pratt, CEBS®, RHU®, REBC®
Client Support Services, Sr. Director, Employee Benefits
Margery uses her extensive experience and education in group employee benefits to oversee Wilson Albers client services, ensuring our company continues to deliver excellence and exceed expectations. She also provides compliance support and guidance for the myriad of benefits-related legal and regulatory issues businesses face.
A key member of our team for more than 27 years, Margery has earned several prestigious industry designations during her career: Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS®), from the International Foundation of Employee Benefits; Registered Health Underwriter® (RHU), from The American College of Financial Services; and Registered Employee Benefit Consultant® (REBC), also from The American College. She has a degree in English literature from the University of Washington and studied business at the University of Alaska in Fairbanks as well.
Margery and her husband have a college-age son. They enjoy exploring Alaska in the summer, taking RV trips together, and boating.
Stephanie Rossland
Senior Consultant, Employee Benefits
For more than 20 years, Stephanie has worked in all facets of employee benefits. Before joining the team in 2014, she managed and coordinated plans for a hospital with locations and staff in remote areas around the state.
Now Stephanie works with mid-sized employers, helping clients build benefits packages that are both successful and sustainable, while educating employees as well. She says she enjoys partnering with clients so they can offer meaningful benefits to workers, and then ensuring those individuals understand their plan and can use it effectively.
Stephanie graduated with honors from National American University, where she earned a degree in accounting. She earned the Registered Employee Benefit Consultant ® (REBC) designation in 2019. She loves spending time with her family (which includes a young son who loves dinosaurs), going on quilting retreats with friends, and exploring the beautiful outdoors in Alaska. As you might expect, her background in numbers means she’s good at sudoku, too.
Stephanie is not registered as an investment advisor representative and cannot offer advisory products or services in that capacity.
Amy Schlerf
Associate Consultant, Employee Benefits
Part of the team since 2013, Amy serves as an Associate Consultant for individual and small-business accounts. She has a strong customer service and advocacy background and is dedicated to providing the best overall benefits experience for each of our clients.
Amy is licensed in life and health insurance in both Alaska and Washington and holds certifications on the Federally Facilitated Individual and SHOP marketplaces. She attended the University of Alaska in Anchorage, where she earned an Associates of Applied Sciences degree in Accounting. She is currently working on her REBC designation in Employee Benefits.
The interactions she has with clients, the continuing ability to learn new things, and the opportunities Wilson Albers provides to grow professionally are just a few of the reasons Amy says she loves her role. When she has free time, she enjoys raising funds for different community organizations, working on crafting projects
Leslie Shelton
Sr. Account Manager, Employee Benefits
Working with advisory staff to effectively serve our clients, Leslie has played a key role at Wilson Albers since her arrival in 2013. She is known for her efficient and timely ability to deliver guidance and solutions, thanks to her breadth of experience in Alaska’s healthcare industry.
Leslie sees herself as a resource for both clients and their employees, enabling them to better understand their processes and benefits—and providing them with a liaison who has established solid relationships with insurance carriers and vendors over a 25-year career. Her goal is to “ease worries, help find resolutions, and be a trusted partner,” she says.
Leslie has a bachelor’s degree in communication from Grand Canyon University; she also attended Grayson County Community College in Texas before moving to Alaska in 1988. An inaugural member of Alera Group’s Women’s Mentorship Program, Leslie is also an accomplished author.
